The award was received on 23 September 2024, during European Organic Day, which aims to highlight excellent, innovative, and sustainable European organic companies that contribute to the production and consumption of organic products.
We are the first Italian company to be awarded the EU Organic Awards in the category dedicated to small and medium-sized organic food processors.
The prize—promoted by the European Commission, European, Economic Social Committee (FESC), Committee of Regions, COPA-COGECA and IFOAM Organics Europe—was particularly significant. Our Cooperative was selected as one of the finalists in its category by the EFSC, “Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment” (NAT) section, made up of key actors of the civil society: farmers, workers representatives, agricultural and food companies, environmental NGOs and consumers’ associations. The company was then chosen as a winner by a jury made up of the prize organizers and representatives from the European Union Parliament and Council.
This achievement rewards the commitment sustained over 50 years, from Gino and Tullia in 1971 to the present day, with the involvement of everyone, and it highlights our uniqueness on the European stage. We have built a fair and entirely organic agricultural supply chain for pasta production, which not only guarantees high quality and sustainability but also ensures fair compensation for farmers and allows consumers to enjoy excellent organic pasta at an affordable price.
