It has taken us almost fifty years to bring Gino’s dream to fruition and to build the Girolomoni organic pasta supply chain you see today.
We grow organic Italian wheat on some 400 member farms, covering the needs of over 70% of the short supply chain in the Marche.
We grind the wheat in our own mill on the hill at Montebello, near Urbino, in the Marche region. Our freshly ground semolina is then expertly mixed with water exclusively from the hillside, in our adjacent pasta factory, where it then becomes the Girolomoni organic pasta that we export all over the world.
We also grow other grain, as well as legumes, an we sell rice, sauces, tomato passata, EVO oil, and couscous. All made exclusively using organic methods and all with our Girolomoni brand.
A STORY OF GENERATIONS
When we lost Gino in 2012, we promised that we would continue his project to develop organic farming in the Marche, there on his hill at Montebello, where it all began.
Today, his work is continued with the same passion by the new generation – Gino’s children – and by members and skilled employees, working to keep the message that we have inherited alive: restoring “Dignity to the land!”
